Floridata Plant Encyclopedia

  Plants With Attractive Foliage
This symbol indicates plants that are noteworthy for their foliage, whether it be the color, texture, size or shape. Foliage plants are special whether they are in bloom or not. Many are just as colorful and just as beautiful as flowers. Floridata places plants such as ferns, coleus, caladiums and plants with varigated foilage in this list.

Kentucky Bright Leaf

tobacco flower Around this time of year farmers here in Kentucky remove the flower buds from the waist-high tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum) plants. Sometimes they miss a few, like this on, and the showy, fragrant flowers make an appearance.
