  Plants That Attract Birds
Birds, especially songbirds, are usually welcome in our gardens. They provide background music, adding to the pleasure of a garden stroll. Who can resist the mockingbird's sunset serenade from the cherry tree or the sweet whistles of the cardinal announcing dawn from the dogwood? We've indicated which plants are best at providing the berries and seeds that attract mockingbirds, cardinals, orioles and other birds to the home landscape.

Kentucky Bright Leaf

tobacco flower Around this time of year farmers here in Kentucky remove the flower buds from the waist-high tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum) plants.
